Enjoy the beauty of the endless forests, majestic mountains, and undeveloped waterways as we sail silently among the straits, bays, and inlets of the protected Inside Passage. Hear the roar of icebergs calving as we drift among the floating ice at the face of a tidewater glacier. Listen to the cry of bald eagles as we swing gently on the anchor in a pristine wooded cove. Wildlife abounds!

Sail the scenic waters of enchanting Southeast Alaska this summer!

Welcome Aboard!

Charter a Catalina/Morgan 50' sailboat completely equipped for your safety and comfort with your friends and family. We have three guest cabins, each with a large double berth and a private head with shower. We sail with a maximum of six guests each trip.

Alaskans love showing off Alaska and we cruise the spectacular waters of the Inside Passage. Sound Sailing is permitted to provide trips in Glacier Bay National Park, Admiralty Island National Monument, and the Tongass National Forest. 

The wildlife and scenery are remarkable, and it seems like something incredible happens every day. Whether your goal is photographing brown bears feeding, seeing humpback whales, kayaking through icebergs, hooking onto a big fish, or adding new birds to your “life-list”, we look forward to sharing this magestic area with you!

The boat will be provisioned according to your preferences and our specialty is fresh seafood that we catch along the way!

By the way, no sailing experience is necessary (you can help if you want) all that's required is a desire to explore, observe, and enjoy the beauty and abundance that is Alaska!

Sound Sailing has a special use permit from the US Forest Service allowing you access to and use of the Tongass National Forest. We are a licensed concessionaire with the National Park Service -allowing us to sail in Glacier Bay National Park.
